Missionaries of the Precious Blood Chaplaincies

Father John Bolan, C.PP.S. The late Father John Bolan, C.PP.S., touched hundreds of lives in his years as a chaplain at a Veterans Administration Hospital in Cleveland. A recovering alcoholic who was candid about his struggles, he especially sought out those who were fighting any addiction and offered them a helping hand.

That hospital was his temple, his place of ministry where he poured himself out for others.

Whether in hospitals, jails or in the military, many C.PP.S. priests and brothers have served as chaplains, offering support to people at critical points in their lives. A chaplain is a person of trust and a pillar of support. If you or someone you love has been in a critical situation, a place where it feels as if life is spinning out of control, you know the importance of a comforting presence who stays in the room with you even in the face of the worst kind of trouble.

"Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy." (Matthew 5: 7)

"For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, a stranger and you welcomed me, naked and you clothed me, ill and you cared for me, in prison and you visited me." (Matthew 25: 35-36)
